The photo books in my library: an emotional journey
From 12:30 to 2 pm
Centro Federico García Lorca
There is a jungle of photo books, a vast sea with giant waves that keep bringing sparkling jewels—each seemingly better than the former— to the reader’s shore. In the face of the disappearance of the traditional book, photo books, which are difficult to store and catalogue, are emerging and demanding a place in our shelves. The photo book reader lets chance and emotions to choose which book he or she will treasure next. In this talk I intend to draw, describe, and discover my own emotional journey across the world of photo books, a journey that is not guided by the influence of canonical books, but by the small inner adventures associated to some others.
